Ken MacDonald was awarded the James Visconti Award for Best Sculpture at the July 2008 South County Art Association Open Juried Art Annual Exhibit in Kingston, RI.

Dora Atwater Millikin will have a solo exhibition at the Newport Art Museum, 76 Bellevue Avenue, Newport. The exhibition titled Dora Atwater Millikin: Geometry of Place, will run from June 7 - August 10, 2008 with an opening reception on Thursday, June 12.

Paola Mangiacapra's watercolor painting, "Men Working", was selected by the AARP Foundation along with 13 others from 400+ entries for their 2009 Calendar. It will be on display at the AARP 50+ Expo and Event in Washington,DC in early September. Paola Mangiacapra's watercolor titled "Generations" received an Honorable Mention in the Art League of Rhode Island Second Associate Members' Exhibit at Gallery 297, Bristol, RI. Paola Mangiacapra's painting"The Fortune Teller" was accepted into the Northeast Watercolor Society's 31 Annual International Exhibition and her painting “The Gardener” was accepted into the Newport Art Museum’s 2008 Members’ Show and was awarded an Honorable Mention in the watercolor category. Two of Paola's paintings were accepted in two successive shows at Gallery 297, Bristol, RI in Jan. and Feb. in 2008. Her “Sirkeci Terminal” captured 3rd place in the Rhode Island Watercolor Society’s open juried show in Feb. 2008.

Richard Grosvenor and Joan Boghossian also had work accepted into Newport Art Museum's 2008 Member Show.
