Exhibit Dates: Feburary 3 - 28,2018
Opening Reception: February 3, 2018 5-7 pm
Gallery Night: Thrusday, February 8, 2018

From its conception 27 years ago, artists have been invited to submit serious “copies” or tongue-in-cheek humorous interpretation of known art work in two and three dimensional form. The February exhibit has grown to be a much anticipated area event for both artists and the art appreciators. The artists study and learn techniques used by the old and modern masters while the public has a chance to enjoy and own an “almost masterpiece” without traveling to Boston or New York.

A guest judge selected the “Best in Show” and several “Honorable Mentions” awards from the works submitted. The winners will be recognized during the opening reception on February 3 from 5-7 pm to which the public is invited. Gallery visitors asked to vote for the “People’s Choice Award” throughout the month. The show runs February 3 -28, 2018. The gallery will be open until 8 pm. on Thursday, February 8th for Gallery Night in Newport. Spring Bull Gallery located at 55 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island is wheel chair accessible and open free to the public. Gallery hours are noon to 5 pm. daily.
