NEWPORT, RI - On view from August 2 - August 31, 2008 at the Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, Rhode Island is "Spring Bull Members Exhibition." From its early beginnings at the corner of Spring and Bull Street to its present location on Bellevue Avenue this cooperative gallery has been a strong advocate for area local artists and causes through exhibition opportunities, open shows, and financial support to other art organizations. Currently numbering 17 artists, the gallery feature works by founding member Richard Grosvenor, newest members Craig Masten and Ken MacDonald as well as well as Charles Moore, Joan Boghossian, Marcelle Casavant, Michael Chambers, Kendra Ferreira, Diane Gay, Martha Guillette, George Furbish, Paola Mangiacapra, Priscilla Malone, Johanna McKenzie, Dora Atwater Millikin, Ian Silvia and the late John Loughlin.

Working in a wide variety of media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, monotype, pastel, colored pencil, and glass, this group is as diverse in subject matter and style but united in friendship and commitment to the arts. Please come and meet these artists of Spring Bull Gallery during the month of August and wish them a happy 18h anniversary.

The show opens with a reception with a gala reception on Saturday, August 2nd from 5-7pm to which the public is invited. Gallery Night is to be held Thursday, August 13 from 5-8 p.m..
